I chose supported fish.
My tip for self-care?
Show up!
Show up angry,
show up happy,
show up resistant,
show up crying,
show up in grief,
show up in hope,
show up and move like a whirlwind,
show up and be still,
JUST SHOW UP.

It’s the consistent showing up on my mat that has been my saving grace during my deepest tragedies.
Sometimes I just sit there, and that’s enough.
And that’s ok.
The act of showing up for myself means I am doing the inner work.
Yoga is so much more than asana. The practice of asana helps us to subtly work behind the scenes so that eventually, yoga is happening all day, every day, in every movement, in every breath.
So one tip? Show up.

Supported fish pose totally attuned me to *physically* being supported by my mat, in turn, the way my Practice holds me spiritually.
